So will; I think he's been good. The new one looks too young.

Did someone visit you in their Tardis while you were asleep?

Preview for new series

http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/newyear/

Bit pissed off they killed off the timelords again. Was hoping for them to come back, at least it explained why the Doctor did what he did. Not sure about this Matt Smith and the bow tie! Also he was holding a gun, something that the old Doctor did not do til tonight. Also what happened to the Master, I assume he burned his body out and died? Anyone reckon the Timelords are gone for good?

The Doctor has used a gun before. Colin Baker used a gun on some Cybermen once.

They're always killing off The Master, even in the old series, but he always turns up again in another story.

If you noticed, Wilf asked the Doctor who she was and he looked at Donna.

They already had him/it in a previous episode, along with Sarah Jane Smith.

Loved the ending of this episode/series/season (what ever you wanna call it). Going to be interesting to see this new doctor in action. He does look a bit to.... young to be a doctor. First pics seeing it made me believe he would be very bad, after actually seeing him for a few seconds in action, i think maybe he might work but he still looks way to young to me, especially considering the doctor is 900+ years old (can't remember the exact number).

Not overly keen on the new Dr, he seems to be acting like David Tennant and he doesn't want to be doing that... David was different to Christopher Eckleston thus made the show change direction slightly and keep it fresh. If he tries to copy David Tennant he's gonna fail cause he owned... [surrender]

Anyone else 'tear up' watching this episode?

I liked the ending where he was visiting everyone. I'm a bit unsure about the new doctor too, but then i was the same way with David Tennant at first. He does seem way too young to be the Doctor though.

I know its sci-fi and pretty much anything can happen, but Russel T. Davis did really bugger up the Dr Who story a bit right at the beginning and I was quite disappointed in how it ended really.

When he first started, I thought "Uh-oh" when he removed all Timelords and Daleks (the two main selling points for Dr Who) and he slowly brought the Daleks back etc, but again locked them off.

I thought Russel was going to put it all back to how it should be, with the Timelords being about etc, but all he's done is completely screwed it up and made the Doctor now the only timelord about by locking the Master in the timewar too. Ok, theres his daughter and Donna who is half timelord now, but he still hasnt really left a lot "available" to the new writer unless something big happens to bring them all back.
