What I don't get is why people piss in phoneboxes?

The glass is still transparant (that's if it hasn't been smashed out beforehand tho) so people can still see you pissing.

People piss in Phoneboxes because they are Drunken Chav Scum. I have no explanation for what they do when they are out on the lash. Drunken vandalism and crime is worse than smoking, yet what did the government ban in public places? [rolleyes]

Because they are British icon and part of our heritage. Unless you live in Hull like me. We laugh at your Red Boxes and take pride in our shiny white Phone Boxes.

I care not for the phone box that is red, but would lay down my life for those which are white.

I love the red phone boxes, they should be kept. The new BT booths look tacky and people will keep vandalising phone booths no mater what. The BT booths are probably cheaper and easier to repair if someone smashes the glass.

The newer 1996> booths are not too bad, as BT fitted a domed roof to them, but vandals will vandalise anything on the street, even shop windows!

At least with the old K6 design, you just remove 4 pins that hold the steel frame and glass in. Then the new glass justs slots in, with a bit of silicon on it to make the kiosk watertight again. It is then secured by the frame and the 4 pins. 5 minute job!

sounds like the small panes on the K6 are cheap and easy to replace. lol. Those big glass ones would not be cheap I guess.
