Default So I pretty much landed my first IT job today!
Got my self an Interview today. Got to work with their head IT guy all day. So far they really like my work and how well I catch on to things and want me back on Monday to test me some more. Looks very promising! So excited

Congrats! Hope it works out for you. However the one thing I noticed when I got my first IT job was that reading email at home sux now, and I tend to not want to be on the computer as much at home.

Strangely I don't feel much less inclined to use the computer at home. I just really don't want to hear about other peoples computer problems when I'm at home.

Pretty much sums it up. When you get home the last thing you want is for someone to say "can you fix my PC".

yea working behind a computer on servers at work REALLY killed my computer experience at home..
I can barely stomach to get on unless its for reading news and so on.. I can't stand playing games for more than and hour now because I'm behind a pc 8 hours at work.

I have the same issue. . .the computer annoys the hell out of me now. [thumbdown]

Eh well, gives me a chance to do other things, like not shut myself into a room and turn pasty white. . .

Not too badly off, thanks, Dave - got enough put aside to last till April, at least, and have some good prospects - just got to get an injury sorted first.
It's also coming into our Summer - so not working isn't that bad [thumbup]
