Yup, that was part of my decision to get a .357 magnum, large choice of ammo.
Cheap .357 ammo here is about $20.00 for 50 rounds.
Cheap 38 spcl ammo here is about $19.00 for 50 rounds.

Not much difference in price, but when target shooting, the 38 special is easier on your body.

Got my gun today. I went to the range, put 100 rounds of .38 special reloads that I bought at the range, and 50 rounds of factory .357 rounds. Was great fun. Man, the .357 rounds have some power to them, you can see hear and feel the difference between the .38 special rounds.

As far as accuracy, I was OK towards the end, but I still need some practice. I have quite a few people lined up to go shooting with me, so I know I will get enough practice soon.

Shooting slugs is fun, especially at targets on a range because the hole that is left on the target is so big you can clearly see where your hitting a long distance away.

Hello

Are you looking for a conceal/carry weapon?

If so, I have to recommend the Beretta Tomcat .32 caliber pistol. It is small, lightweight, and has a decent caliber. I own one and used it to qualify for a carry permit, had nice tight groups at 25 ft. This hides pretty much anywhere, unnoticed.

Heres a pic of mine, I suppose I have normal sized hands for a 6' 2" mid-thirties male.

good luck in your search!
what about Velcro'd to your forehead ?
