You're doing it wrong!

That's how I open bananas.. I use the stem as a sort of handle.

The problem with that method is that end of the banana has this solid black bit on the tip.

Otherwise I generally don't have a big problem opening a banana http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../confused1.gif

Some people like a nice solid black bit.
