Brabham (IIRC) fan car - the fan was for cooling and any other benefit was incidental. Still banned after one race.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1d7iR72UVh4&NR&fmt=18 ofcourse is was incidental lol. formula one cars would be like they are on rails with stupidly powerful engines by now if all the innovations werent banned and the engines gimped. todays engines arent even as powerful as the really ancient turbo engines some of which were tuned for 1500hp in qualifying (hence the big blowouts back in the day) |
