Default Horoscopes puzzle me
I don't really believe in them just like I don't believe in John Edwards talking to dead people. Usually a person with any zodiac sign can read any horoscope (as long as they don't know that its not for their zodiac sign) and find similarities.

However, sometimes horoscopes describe my personality 100% by my friends opinion (since my personal can be biased). That puzzles me.

Is there any scientific evidence that birth date affects person's personality/character? Planetary connection?

Is there any evidence that people born during specific days (by Zodiac signs) have similarities in personality/character? Any correlations?

The whole of astrology is based on a lie. There aren't 12 signs of the zodiac at all, in fact there are 13. They just make out there are only 12 because it's more convenient.

Seriously though, you seem like an intelligent person - do you think there would be any scientific evidence to suggest that there is some correlation between birth dates/zodical sign and personality?

The ecliptic goes through 13 constellations but planetary orbits pass through several more.

Well I was born on my Dad's birthday and we are somewhat similar. Then again I am his son and he raised me so that is understandable. My roommate was born two days after me (same year) and we couldn't be any less similar.

Perhaps, yes, but astrologers maintain that it is the position of the planets, with respect to the position of the stars at that time, that affects our personalities. So Librans are Librans, no matter where they are in the world - even if they were born in a country that was experiencing summer, spring, winter or autumn at the time of their birth.

I am confused because I made a self blind study of different descriptions of personalities based on zodiac signs from several different websites. I had my parents help me to make sure I really don't know who is who. I selected my zodiac sign every single time! Well, there was one personality description that was similar in each case, but not always and also in 3 different languages (just to make sure sources really deviate).

I figured maybe there are 12 basic personalities that humans tend to have and so they assigned one to each sign. That makes sense.

How many times do you read your zodiac sign? Maybe you got used to its stereotype. Also, I've heard that through the ages because of the motion of the Earth and such all of the zodiac signs are off compared to what the were originally.

Horoscopes are quite stupid in my opinion, theyre all so vague that they could apply to anything.

Astrology is crap and anyone who believes in it needs to rethink their life.

And that's that!

Not true! The moon directly affects the earth's tides. Just think what Jupitar's doing to your bodily fluids [help]

Don't all objects in the universe affect each other in one way or another?

Hard to prove, but I always flip as many light switches as I can just in case.

And I wear odd socks just in case my heart starts pumping blood the wrong way.
