I posted a similar situation recently.

Just goes to show what can happen when computer billing systems and common sense collide. The bad part is how many companies are so invested in these systems that they will trust them over and above their own common sense; stubbornly repeating the same mistake over and over until smacked soundly about the head and shoulders with a deceased mackerel.

After all, the computer cant be wrong, right? [rolleyes]

Sorta like what happened to me with the credit card account that wasn't mine. Clearly when a computer says something it must be true, even when it contradicts itself and there's zero evidence whatsoever to support any of the claims.

And to make matters worse when Chase bought Wamu they merged that BS account with my REAL account, even though Chase already sold the account off and refused to deal with it and pulled it off my credit report. So they ended up overwriting my REAL information with the other crap.
