Anyone know of a demo disc or something like it, even just a standard ol' CD with a clean recording of a nasty thunderstorm.
I've got this little clip here, which is off the Origin album by Evanescense. And played loud enough in stereo it kind of acheives the feeling of really listening to a storm, but A its short, and B when you try and apply a surround mix to it, it doesn't sound that great. ![]() Here's the clip I do have. Looking for something that at some point hits hard with a nice crackling lightning strike followed by rolling thunder. Somehow listening to a raging storm calms me down. Though played loud enough it sends my dog running for the hills. http://home.comcast.net/~thirdgen89g...hunderclap.mp3 |

Damn. I used to have one I listened to when I went to bed. Helps me fall asleep. I had a couple, but I can't stand the ones where they insert lame mood music, or have random animals sounds inserted. Thunderstorms are like my favorite thing... Wish I could remember what CD it was.
I wish I didn't have to download iTunes to listen to it. ![]() |

This is probably a bit old for most people here, But the Rock group "The Cult" (if you could call them rock, more like goths etc), Had a great track entitled "brother wolf, sister moon" and in the end of the song, it broke into a rolling thunderstorm with crackling lightning.
I use to love listening to that on my dads marshall setup, at full blast, would pretty much rock the house on its foundations and scare the crap outta all animals in close proximity. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=35qJ0UdJjLo [thumbup][thumbup] |
