Default Am I the only one who thinks music videos are incredibly stupid?
I'm sure you aren't the only one, but I like good music videos. And I think many are good. But there is definitely a lot of crap. But that is true of any medium.

I don't have a problem with dumb or weird-looking ones; the only criterion is that the images have some relation to the lyrics, which is unfortunately very rare.

Of course, that's the old music videos. The ones on MTV today (in the rare moments they even play music videos anymore instead of reality crap) are all rap and pop stars just dancing around and lip-synching with some glamorous backdrops. Not a big improvement.

Per wiki:

The [High Hopes] video was featured on an episode of Beavis and Butt-head. Beavis said that if you didn't know the name Pink Floyd or anything about the band and just saw this video, you might think this was wuss music. Butt-head replied to him that this is wuss music.

Unforgiven was one I was mentioning above. But then again, I don't really understand what the song is about, so perhaps that's why I don't get the video.
