Remembrance: 2 yr celebration of life - HP - DiscussWorldIssues - Socio-Economic Religion and Political Uncensored Debate

Two years ago today we all lost our dear friend here on Futuremark, Hallowed_Point.

To many of us here he was a great poster. An asset to the community. A friend.

I started this thread just as a way to remember him on this day. Of all the fun times we shared with him and how he touched us all.

We lost an amazing onion but he did leave us one last gift when he left. He showed us all just how connected we are as a community. How much more these characters of text on screen mean so much more than they appear. He united us all with his passing and we all came together and supported his family from all over the world with donations and letters. To this very day I still thank you all from the bottom of my heart for that.

So on this day if you have a drink raise it and cheer for our pal Hallowed_Point!!!! [thumbup]

Thank you, it was hard at first. Many mixed emotions on this day. But now I celebrate em both as one great day.

Its hard to believe it has been two years. HP was a great part of this community, and I don't think it has ever been really whole without him. On the flip side, it was nice knowing him at all, and I am glad for what he added. Cheers HP - we miss you!

Also - happy birthday Omid. I know that feelings still must be mixed, but hopefully it is ok for you buddy. [thumbup]

he was a good lad I wont deny that but I cant say Ive sat here and thought about him until now.

but then again I was never close to him as others were

We did this last year as well but we just bumped the old thread that time. This time I felt it needed a new thread. I will be doing this as long as I'm alive. I know its because I was very very close to HP, but I think of him on a regular basis. I spoke with him as much as I would a friend who lived two houses down.

I speak with his mother and his close friends from time to time. The Martinmaas (his family) are amazing people. Talk to them and you can see where HP got his character from. His mom called me yesterday (as she has each birthday since his passing) to wish me good thoughts and happy times. And yesterday I had just that...a great bday and a great day of remembrance.

Thanks to all who posted and to FM for the temp sticky, very respectable of you.

He sadly died in a swimming accident....
