Job question "Desktop Refresh".

I just got an email from a possible employer for an IT position, asking me if ever done Desktop Refresh. And to me, Desktop Refresh could be a lot of many things.

Any one know what the employer is asking and or best way to answer this question??

Thanks in advance.

I believe what he's wanting is to replace the desktop PCs. Scrapping the old units, putting in new, keeping any important user files, installing all the company software.

I work as a systems admin and have never heard the technical term of "desktop refresh". Definitely ask to clarify what he means by that.

A desktop refresh is exactly what Rainwind said. Replacing old machines with new.

and then when you boot up the machine to the desktop, you right click and refresh. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...es/tongue1.gif

Typically you will be given a Ghost image that has been set by the organisation, which has the OS and any applications they need to use. All you have to do is follow the instructions. So you probably wont have to do much configuration.
