This website may not be the best place for this since the most logical answer is hookers and blow.
I'd pop for the Galaxy and the tablet. Combined, not that much cost but will probably provide great utility and make you feel like you've pampered yourself. This will also save you money for your next mistake. |

@ most logical answer . Am going over to Best Buy right now to see if they are in stock locally without having to go through Amazon. Inifinity is ice cream sandwich with announced upgadability to jellybean. |

Well, not exactly have some money to spend, but money that was allocated for something else just came open. For those who aren't my Facebook friends, me and my fiance mutually broke up a week and half ago (having to do with lack of just about any common interests, and the fact she has a ton of growing up to do [though I'd imagine she'd have a different point of view, but she's just wrong]). Sorry for sounding all boring and fuddy-duddy here, but surely the point here is that you're not freeing up any cash - but simply avoiding putting yourself into debt on credit cards!? Surely the best thing to do is pat yourself on the back for avoiding an expensive mistake and only get the thing you need (which sounds like the phone) without necessarily going into the red for it? Sounds like you're just trying to make yourself feel better by licking your wounds with tech, which is an understandable kind of rebound, but a rebound all the same... Hang out with some mates you probably haven't seen for a while because of being in a relationship and just have some fun! |

I recommend a good laptop and a cheap tablet. On average my laptop:tablet use is around 20:1, unless I'm flying somewhere which I rarely do. |

Talking about politics and such isn't really that important is it? But if you guys aren't happy together I guess it wasn't meant to be. I'm sorry to hear it and I pray for you. |

Imran: no real advice as to what to do with the money, but you may remember, many many moons ago (8 years, holy ****!), I went through something similar just before I moved to Columbus, re: splitting up just before the wedding. If you want to talk about that at all, just let me know.
Apropos of nothing, I will say that I got crazy laid in the year after that before I met Galnemer... |

It is when its important to you and your mate couldn't care less . Though that was just one thing - the lack of common interests caused friction. Better to end it now than when already married, no? |

I was somewhat shocked when I saw it had happened on your wall, given that you seemed so happy together for quite a while.
I would be wary of buying any durable goods with the money I viewed as "saved" from the breakup. It would have the potential to serve as a reminder every time you used it perhaps. Kinda like if you carried the engagement ring around with you or something like that. (Though maybe this is a good thing. Next time a 20 yo gives you her number you will remember the potential problems there while entering it into your contacts lists?) Net and I have a ton of differences. The biggest is religion, but for me it's not an issue at all and for her doesn't seem to be a deal breaker. The maturity level definitely is in her favor though in our case... |
