We have to do a project in business class about entrepreneurs. I want to do mine on a New York based entrepreneur. Can anyone suggest any? (Please include what he did, just the idea) Thanks in davance!

John Jacob Astor, perhaps? He was in the fur business in the mid 1800s.

There are almost too many to name. One of my personal favorites has to be J.P. Morgan. Don't rule out any of the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, or Andrew Carnegie, though I think he's more associated with Pittsburgh.
