Default Ryder Cup
Is this an event sponsered by the moving company?

I'd 'spect the 'mericans to do well in the singles, Europeans are better at team play but aren't as good individually. Is that something indicative of the US and European mentalities?

The Euros trounced the US, as expected. It was the first time that the average world ranking of the European team was better than that of the Americans. The euro players seem to relish this competition, while the Americans can hadly wait for it to end. They don't have a sense of team, and seem to feel that participating is more an obligation than an honor.

That said, they also played like crap.

Hats off to the Euros.

I agree with Jr... The American pro golfers me me me me me mentality just really can't compete against a true team effort like that provided by the Euro's... If the matches were played for BIG money... then the Americans "might" do better. They just don't seem to be motivated by pride. Only Tiger seemed to really want to win.

And the odd's makers had them as solid favorites... but it's also a matter of desire, and the Americans (with rare exception) didn't have anywhere near as much as the Euro's.

And Furyk would be offended by you Ming. Correct on that point as well... my oversight. He also played to win.

The only thing more nauseating than golf is the European inferiority complex.

Loser? Was Canada even part of this?

Is Golf even a real sport?

I've no idea what this is aside from all the hype about Europe finally winning something, so they feel all proud like a retarded six year old painting a picture of a white wall.

We now know you hate golf, and you know that most of us don't think much of hockey. And considering that Golf routinely kicks Hockey's butt when it comes to TV ratings in the US, and that Hockey is the national sport of Canada, and the Canadian Open in Golf is no more than a minor event that nobody goes to... None of this should surprise anybody...

So take your hockey back to your hockey threads... this is a golf thread. Be gone troll... you've made your point

I think you all are wrong when you talk about Americans not wanting to win the Ryder cup, do you remember 1999? Just making the Ryder cup in America is considered a top honor if not the top honor, just ask Davis Love III. The Americans just didn't play well.
