Harlequin I am getting FTTC broadband installed on Friday. ADSL24. If your able to get it in your area it might be worth looking at? I was with o2 and wanted to stay with them but unfortunately their being a little slow on the uptake.

ADSL24 as far as i have found, are the only ISP that can almost match BT's prices with a 12 month contract with no need for phone call packages. I have gone for 40/10 package with a 30GB a month limit in peak times 8am - 8pm with unlimited downloading and uploading 8pm - 8am and all weekend. Perfect for me as i dont get into the house until 7.30pm every night (or later).

If it's enabled you should be able to get any ISP that offers FTTC services, seeing as it's only a VLAN on the switch that your phone line connects to that directs it to specific networks...maybe go on ADSL24 website and see what it says if you havn't already?

for the sort of useage we have in our house (2 teen boys online , + laptops , phones , pcs etc) - we need something with speed and higher useage - the children stream from you tube / sky go / bbc iplayer as well as games etc ; hence needing a reasonable package - and that sadly starts even with adsl24 @ £34.90 (50gb cap) for FTTC (O2 use Be LLU here)
