What is that thing? Looks like it's made out of paper??

In all seriousness though. Never heard of the book or author. I'm thinking a cross between Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and 1984?

Never heard of the author? Surely you jest!

You probably recognize more than one of these books. I, Robot was even made into a movie. He is right up there with H.G. Wells.

Couple of years ago I read the whole damn saga with in a year. Robots, Empire and Foundation.

Is that even possible? NEVER hearing of Isaac Asimov?

I expect so, but for someone who reads SF?

I sold my copies a couple of decades ago, but I thought I saw a fourth book, recently, written by a 'ghost writer' in the local library - may be thinking of a different series, though.

Has anyone read the Hyperion Cantos? I'm waiting for the Rise of Endymion to become available for the kindle. This series is great, one of the best I've ever read.

Good series too. I've been pondering if I should read them again.

The printing I had, had cover illustrations where the books could be put together to make a 3 book wide picture panorama.

TBH, though, there were a lot of other, better, series and books written in the 'Golden Age' - IMO, of course

Cool, wasn't aware of this edition. Apparently Don Punchatz illustrated the famous Doom poster too!
