We have plenty of uninformed idiots voting as it is, douchenozzle. They want to keep all the services they currently get, to not have to pay for them with higher taxes, and to stop running up the deficit. They think they'll achieve it by trimming "waste." So the real problem is not that they're uninformed, but that they are stupid.

So basically Elok you're arguing against the idea that when a populace realizes they can get entitlements just by voting people in that Democracy becomes the worst form of government?

Well, yes, I disagree with that statement, because I have a hard time imagining even the worst democracy being nastier than, say, the Khmer Rouge. But really I was just being a contrarian ass for fun.
