Good to see. The V8 series is starting to mature, bigger tracks more recognition. The GC circuit is perfect. I'd imagine great atmosphere. Should be interesting to see if perhaps one of these tracks one day eclipse the size of the Adelaide 500.

With a stated need for 165,000 punters through the gates to break even, 111,000 have already tasted the delights of the revamped three-day motorsport and music festival.

Well The first Adelaide 500 got 162,000, but now it draws on average over 270,000 in the last 5 years. So I guess the GC still has a long way to go. Sydney got 180,000 for its first year.
