Also, the importance of his work is vastly overstated in the popular press because it has a pretty picture to go with it.

Then again, he did get tenure at Yale.

It's fairly likely that he was smarter than I am, but I'm not regularly lauded in the popular press as an exceptional mathematician.

The Änglischen call it Almond though. However we've set upon a curious fact as it works in Swedish too. Mandelbröd är död.
