using thumb to clean golf ball on the green.

its ok the first time when I stick thumb in mouth to get it wet and then wipe ball, but then after that, said thumb is now dirty

trying to get better about taking a towel up to green with me

I smoke, I drink, I curse, I scratch myself on occasion and I pee in the trees.
This does not make me unique in any way, but viewed from a distance...bad habits.
Even worse viewed up close

Never put a tee in my mouth, but probably swearing. Hitting bad shots is also a habit of mine i'd like to kick.

Putting my bag too close to the ball so I have to stop and move it back before I take my practice swing.

smoking and even while swinging. Although gotta say doesnt affect mey swing at all. I can hit well or suck with or without the stogie in my mouth. Alotta cursing/foul language with bad hits. Although I usually say it in many ways which is funny and most anyone I play with will often laugh. I will often call out several different and multiple combinations of foul language at once that don't make any sense at all together and actually makes me laugh at myself as well. Usually at some point after the first few holes (if not the first one) I'll hit the total screw up hole and start letting it out. Believe it or not, Actually makes most others loosen up and than leads into some humurous and easy going atmosphere for the rest of the round. Funny how people (strangers) tend to be more at ease and comfortable once someone opens up a bit, even if it's with foul language.

not taking enough club on approach shots. I always think I have enough and most times I don't and always leave myself a long two putt instead of a chance at a one putt

I hardly ever take the flag out when playing with others. I don't do it intentionally, but since I typically play as a single the flag isn't something I worry about.

Default Bad Habits
What's everyones bad habits on the golf course? I am bad about taking the tee directly out of the ground and sticking it in my mouth.....with the dirt still on it. Also bad about taking off my headcovers and just throwing them on the ground rather than placing them in the seat of the cart so they don't get dirty.

Mine is anger for sure, swearing or whatever, but it costs me for sure on the course sometimes. Hopefully the pro mental coach will help me with that

Same here. I never clean them. A little before each shot, but other than that, nope.
Mine would be not cleaning my clubs after every shot. Then I wonder how they get so dirty.

My bad habit is not keeping my rhythm when I swing.
I try to hurry it or slow it down instead of keeping the same tempo
all the way thru.

Swearing. I don't yell or scream but in my line of work I get used to speaking in a kind of "language" that can sometimes be hard to turn off at the proper times

Oh I whine a lot when I am playing bad and it's really annoying to me so I'm sure it's 10x worse for my playing partners.

I dont often clean the ball with my thumb, but i am usually bad about taking the towel up to the green with me, leaving the clubs on teh wet ground, and having nothing to clean my ball, i usually wipe it on my shorts as long as its not awful.

Yep, I used to put the tee in my mouth also. Until someone told me about all the chemicals (pesticides, fertilizers..etc). I finally got smart and stopped.
