Default Iron swing off when driver is going and vice versa
I can't seem to figure out how to get my iron game to work well when I'm hitting my driver well and vice versa.
For example I was at the range today and crushing my driver dead straight and longer than normal while I couldn't hit my irons or hybrids at all for some reason and there are days where I can hit my irons amazingly but it doesn't matter since I end up in the bushes with terrible drives

Anyone else have this problem and any things to try to get over it?

I get that problem from time to time but I dont have a solution on how to fix it. It just goes away eventually after a round or two.

I know that when this happens to me, I adjust my swing plane. I have caught my self using my swing for my driver on my irons and vice versa. So I remind myself to swing flatter on drives and a little steeper on irons. That seems to fix it for me.

It happens to me a lot, its been better lately but there was a time when I could only hit a driver which is really weird because that is usually what gives people the most problem.

That's golf, dude...haha. Typical answer, I know. Being honest, it's a rare day when everything is working for ya...I tried and tried to find a way to mesh all aspects together, and it rarely happens. They might both be decent or above average on the same day, but they are never both firing on all cylinders for me.

Wish I could help you more on this...I think it's something everyone is looking for the answer to. If I ever solve the mystery, I'll write a book on it and PM you the title so you can pick one up

This happens for me all the time. Sort of a shame. I really can't put it all together.

I tend to over exaggerate everything when something isn't clicking. Makes for a few bad shots but helps me remember what I should be doing.

For me it always happens when I stiff up. I stretch out my back and hamstrings and shoulders and try to free up my swing. Being a little stiff kills everything.

My swings are not the same for those two. I did have 3 swings, but now the wedges & irons are the same. Google it and you will see articles about the differences. teed up vs on the ground, etc. I know my driver swing is flatter, lower launch. My irons are steeper & higher launch. Works for me.

When I get in a funk, I try hard to focus on swing path and to swing with relaxed tempo.

Yep, know this program well.

To add even more excitement, my putting enters the fold: I find it easier to one-putt when I lie seven on a par five.......

Wedges and irons have never worked better for me than they are right now. Wood and driver - piss poor. Hasn't been this bad in a long time. A month ago it was all perfect 260-270 drives.
