Default Push/Pull Cart
My dad wants one and I was considering getting him one for his birthday. Does anyone have on? I was looking at the Clicgear model 3.0 as it has gotten very good reviews on Golfsmith and seems to be the best on the market. Any other suggestions?

My brother-in-law got one for my father-in-law several years back. I've never seen it in use, though...the times I've tagged along, motorized carts were used.

I have one, though I think mine was closer to $100 then it was $200. But it has been about 6 or 7 years since I got it. I use mine often as I like to walk but hate carrying my bag.

As long as where he plays allows it, it's a great idea. Some places don't allow you to bring your own because they want to rent them to you.

Looks really nice. Does it have a place to mount a smart phone? In case he would use a golf GPS app.

What about a battery operated one? There is a model out there that will just follow you around.

he probably has 2 older ones that have been sitting around for 15 years, so it might be a good idea to get him one that is a little more ergonomically friendly or some shit. He has already told me he wants to do a lot more walking on the course this year, so I see no reason why not.

golfsmith shows a bunch of add-ons you can get to customize it a little. He isn't a smart phone/GPS kind of guy.

I understand that.

What I'm saying is, of the type he has that you are asking about...

I've only seen it sitting in his garage. Because the few times I've tagged along to a course with him, we used this kind of cart,
so we didn't have a reason to pull out the clicgear.

usually when I golf with him, we take one of them too, but I think he will make a conscious effort to walk now that he is semi-retired.

well sure, who doesnt? instead of spending it all on the cart, spend half that and get him one of those flag range finders or something, unless of course he has a smart phone.

I've asked him, he doesn't want one. He is set for golf balls with 2 dozen Pro V 1's for Christmas that will last him 2 years.

Give him a gift certificate and let him pick out his own cart.
