Default Got A Bit Carried Away
Looking at DVDs today a majority were 5 dollars or under excluding the Blade quadrilogy.

I thought Trinity was awesome. Ryan Reynolds was funny playing a semi straight role

I thought the Blade movies were decent enough. Trinity was my favourite. I suppose now I'll have to go find the fourth one simply because I must have the set.

Do you like Push? I bought it a couple of years ago because it was cheap and it sounded interesting. I wish I'd saved what little money I did spend on it. T'was a piece of crap movie.

The 4th movie is based on the series and stars Sticky Fingaz, rapper turned actor who portrays Blade in both the series and fourth movie. And upon further investigation, the 4th movie is in fact just the 2 hour series pilot episode. I never followed the series so I was unaware.

There is an old adage that I think is rather appropriate right now:

"A man cannot be said to have an admirable movie collection if he owns several Wesley Snipes films."

I have never seen The Neverending Story.

I liked the first Blade film but after that thought it went downhill. I too didn't know there was a 4th one!

Have you read the book? Because compared to the book, the movie SUCKS. Seriously. That movie should be dragged into the street and shot.

Really? I saw the movie when I was a kid and never really thought to look the book up. I have fond memories of the film though, so if it's better, maybe I should find it and read it

Yeah, the book is awesome. The movie actually completely ignores the second half of the book. It's summed up by the narrator in the last line...something to the effect of "Bastian had many more adventures before returning home". It's like trying to make LOTR into just one movie.

You mean it doesn't end where it ends?! It felt like a natural ending at the time, although to be fair I was quite young when I last saw it. All this talking about it makes me want to see it again.

I don't know how much I can say without spoiling the book. If I remember correctly, the movie basically ends at the end of the first part of the book, though I think it incorporates bits of the second part as well. It's been ages since I've seen it, though. In a way, the two parts of the book are almost two separate entities. In the first part, Fantastica is destroyed but Bastian saves it (doesn't make sense but it will if you read it). The second part of the book is Bastian's journey to get back home. Go read it. You won't be disappointed. (The author is Michael Ende.)
