One which doesn't look bad (acting and look wise) years later, as well as having acclaim as a great film.
Agreed. It has to be something that can pass muster years down the line.

Default Classic Movies
What do YOU consider to be a classic movie??? I thought this would be interesting just to see what different generations consider to be a classic.

On a humorous note, the reason I thought of this topic was because one of the girls on my shift (she's about to be 22) called Scream a classic. The rest of the shift strongly disagreed.

To me, things like The Godfather trilogy, An Officer and a Gentleman, Casablanca (which I've never seen), and things like that are what I consider classics. More recent movies that I would place in that category would be something like The Shawshank Redemption (which I haven't seen, but have on DVD waiting to be watched).

The Godfather is a very good example of a classic.

Scent Of A Woman is a classic too, for me. It's just a wonderful film.
