Im 16 as of now. Birthday is in September. 17 is the legal age to view an "R" rated movie such as See No Evil. My friend bailed on me, for he has to work and I really want to see this movie tonight on its opening. So I ask, If I were to go up asking to buy a ticket for the movie. Would they judge how old I am. I mean, it's not even a half a year apart. If they ask for some I.D., what If I don't have any? I don't got a permit, or license or anything like that to proove my age. Do you think they will let me in?

Well when i saw Saw II they were actually checkin ID's at the door for EVERYONE, reguardless of how old you are (i was 19 when it came out, im 20 now). They even carded one of my roomates who is like 23 and has a full grown beard, so no one was safe from the nerdy ID patrol...Other than that i have never really had any problems with gettin carded or anything. You should find out if they are carding at the door (i dont know why they would See No Evil isnt exactly a major motion picture like Saw was), but if they're not just do the classic buy a ticket for a different show and then sneak in, always seemed to work for me.

Well I know you live near me so I can tell you specifically which ones are a pain to get in. I'm 19 now, but I've tried getting into R-rated movies before when I was younger. The Regal used to be a bitch, but now I can get in without being IDed AND I can bring in my brother who is under-age (you actually have to be 21 to bring in minors to an R). The AMC is OK too unless you go in big groups. It helps if you look older too obviously.
If they ask for ID and you don't have any, you're SOL. If all else fails, you could buy a ticket for Over the Hedge, pull a Sam Fisher, and walk into See No Evil. ![]() |
