I didn't like the Phantom Menace (aside from the 2-on-1 battle with Darth Maul, I thought that was brilliantly done, despite them not having really made us care about Maul as a bad guy), I thought that Episode 2 was entertaning, very entertaining, and it had some powerful moments but it still wasn't up to the standard of the original trilogy. I am however, very much looking forward to this installment, based on the trailer it looks like they've got it right this time. Darker, moodier, far more emotional. Episodes 4-6 were heavy on emotion, especially once Luke found out Vader was his father, and this is what Lucas will be hoping for in Episode 3, with Obi-Wan playing an almost paternal role to young Anakin.

I really don't know about this one. I thought the "first two" (last two) Star Wars movies were blah. I'm not really looking forward to this one at all, but I'll probably still end up seeing it because of my brother. I doubt I'll think it's sad since everyone already know what's basically going to happen. I'm actually looking forward to seeing if Conan O'Brien sends Triumph to the premiere again more than the actual movie.

I like emotional movies. I'm sure there will still be a good amount of evil and killing.

I haven't even seen Episodes 1 and 2. I had never seen a single Star Wars movie until I got the Trilogy on DVD this winter. I've only watched each movie once and haven't popped in the extra disc yet, but I really enjoyed the films themselves. I'm looking forward to renting Eps. 1 and 2 and seeing EIII in the theater.

yeah i remember reading that article a few days ago, and i have to say that after viewing the final trailer several times i definitely cannot wait for the final installment into the star wars franchise. The last 2 have been so-so, but from the looks of things this looks like it could be a really solid movie, and i am definitely markin may 19th on my calander because there is no way in hell i am missin the first day of this movie when it comes out.
