Default 50 Classic Horror Movies - Reviews
TreeLine has released a bunch of mega packs, each with fifty movies. I've bought the horror pack, and I'm going to review every single one of the classics. Starting with disc one, ending with disc twelve.

Disc 1

Carnival Of Souls
This one was supposed to be good, so I had my expectations up high. Maybe that was what ruined it, or maybe it was the fact that this movie is extremely... boring. Okay, the direction is good, the camera work and the music is also good, and the acting is above average, but it seems like it's missing a script. Our heroine runs alot, she screams alot and she cries alot... but why? I have no idea, no idea at all. Yes, there is this man stalking her, and she eventually finds out she's a ghost (no, that's not a spoiler), but we allready knew that. So, the big twist isn't a twist at all, and everything leading up to the twist is boring... Well, I'm totally clueless of why this one is considered a classic. But, I'll give it some credit for actually trying to be something else than just your ordinary horror flick.

Atom Age Vampire
Good idea ruined by American distributors. Oh yeah, this Italian horror film has been BADLY edited and dubbed, and it just... ruins it.
Not much more to say, really. Had potential, but got fucked in the ass by the distributors.

Creature From The Haunted Sea
"Let's make a movie," said Roger Corman, "and let's make it a horror/comedy, that'll be fun."
Fucking hell, Corman, you can do better than this. CFTHS has to be one of the worst attempts at horror/comedy I've ever seen. For the most it's not even "so bad it's good", it's just plain bad. Bad acting, bad directing, bad script, bad camerawork and just plain silly effects makes this one to avoid at all costs. Only reason I'm not going all the way down is the hilarious sea monster. It's a guy wearing a bucket! HAHAHA
2/10

Nightmare Castle
Yiha! The first good movie of the set is this Italian gothic horror starring Barbara Steel. It's so moody you just might wet yourself, and there's the nice looking Barbara Steel in two roles. Also, there's some fun torture and plenty of cheesy dialogue. But, (why must there allways be a but?) again, it's dubbed and heavily cut. Fucking American pigz. Oh well, it's still a very enjoyable movie. It's all about the mood, and that's something even the filthy hands of American distributors can't take away.

Man, this is the very definition of "ambitious". Good luck, Nabbe.
