Ramadan Mubarak to all brothers and sisters in Saudi Arabia, along with other gulf states and wherever Ramadan has started.

We already knew tomorrow was ramadhan. We get to know an year before because of our great calendars in Saudia.

Lets make a pact with ourselves to read as much quran as we can and stay away from SF

Request for Duaas...

Official news from South Africa is that the moon has not been sighted anywhere in South Africa. The news has just been made by Moulana Ebrahim Bham on behalf of the United Ulama Council of South Africa

Ramadan kareem to all.

Let us avoid debates and argumentations regarding moon sighting or taraweeh and follow those scholars whom we have trust in, let others follow the scholars whom they have trust in, and leave the matter to those who are experts, insha'Allah.

May Allah make it a beneficial month for us, amin.

Remember those who are ill, oppressed, and every other Muslim you know or do not in your ad'iyyah. Also, don't forget for the guidance of those who have not tasted the sweetness of Imaan.

BarakAllahu feekum.

even in my case, the local masjid ll go with international sighting .
In case If there is only one masjid in my vicinity that goes with International sighting, I ll go with my local masjid. - I find no issues

But I do have masjids in my vicinity where they follow the moonisghting with clear understanding that has been agreed unanimously for past 1400 years,
Hence Insha Allah, I ll utilize this opportunity

Salaams all and Ramadan Kareem to all (today or tomorrow).

I don't know why but this year I just got a real crises feeling over who to go with on this.

I wish there was an Amir of the Muslim Ummah and a council of the best Ulema to unite the Ummah on such issues and to keep various types of politics from effecting them.

Ramadan Mubarak everyone (which ever day you start) I normally go to a Mosque of a school of thought that I don't follow because it is just down the road. There are other Masjids near here who I consider to be better guided and I have just found out that they consider it to be Ramadan's beggining tonight and a having tarawih.

Like bro imam gazzali said I don't want to start a debate, but my local masjid is starting taraweeh today but I'm not.....

( can we leave it as that ? ) yep

even in my case, the local masjid ll go with international sighting .

Hence Insha Allah, I ll utilize this opportunity InshaAllah all are following scholars and have good intentions either way, Allah knows best who is right.

Anyway someone out of the blue offered me lifts to a nice Deobandi Masjid near here that I trust better than the nearest Masjid to pray Tarawih this Ramadan, and incidentally this one considers it to be Ramadan tonight.

Allah knows best about these things, and after many years of thinking I had some idea of how it works, this year I just have to admit in its finer details it is a subject beyond my understanding, all someone like me can do is trust people who know more.

this pdf is fascinating http://www.croydonmosque.com/pdf/The...udi_Arabia.pdf
