aoa,

this is regarding a hanafi masla:

should the dua of eid ul adha prayer be made right after the salat (before the khutba)?
or
should it be made after the khutba (the khutba starts immediately after the salah)?

its very important i know this as it could lead to eradication of bughz people have with imam of a local masjid. people believe dua should be the last thing done (after the khutba) and it always creates problem on eids. as a result some people i know go to local barelvi masjid nearby (who do dua after khutba). so i would like that to stop.

if anyone can quote from classical hanafi books like durr-e-mukhtar, bahishti zaywar and not from a mufti that would be much appreciated : )

4. Dua should be made after the Eid salaat, or even after the khutbah. Although this dua has not been established from the life of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the Sahabah, Taabi'een and even the Tabe Taabi'een, but because it is sunnah to make a dua after every salaat, it will be preferable to make it after the Eid salaat as well.
