Here is a video of 1000s of Muslims marching in Tunis and calling for Islam.

Don't let the kufr dominated world media warp your perception of your fellow Muslims in Tunisia.

al-Salamu 'Aleykum,

Not too long ago Hijab was banned in Tunis, today out of 49 parliament seats for women, we have 40 Hijabis.

Second revolution?

I just wish, at the very very very very least they banned usery and allowed polygamy. If not, just a bunch of phonies who used Islamic slogans to get people riled up for a revolution.

I have to disagree with you, my dear respected brother.
It is my concern that An Nahda lacks the ideological guidance needed to guide Tunisia and the surrounding Maghreb.
What would the Prophet (saaw) do? How did an Anbiya (as) deal with such situations?

Should the leading Islamic party refrain from calling for Shariah and an Islamic state just so they can gain power?

We want shari'ah, but not just for a few days. We don't want to take 2 steps forward, then 100 steps backwards. Look what happened in Algeria in the 90's and in Turkey to a lesser extent (Erbakan being forced to step down).

People are so infected - when they hear sharia- they are deadly scared and furious - it needs its time... on the other had Ghannouchi will have problem with his leadership if he openly says now that sharia is not welcome in Tunisia - is this what he said directly or it is only backbiting?

I believe they are humans who reside or have biological parents that are from Tunisia.
