Hello

I am a devoted muslim always trying to maintain my commitment to Islam and its teaching (failing at it sometimes). I have unfortunately started a habit of smoking weed and drinking codeine ( non-alcoholic drink rappers drink and talk about).

I know that weed & drugs are haram. My question is, is weed considered a sin equal to drinking alcohol? I have never drank alcohol in my life. But since weed isnt explicitly mentioned in the quran ive assumed it is not one of the major sinis (kabaer), but rather a sin similar to smoking cigarets.

Am I making a wrong assumption here?
