Default Tv, computer, playstation games
"TV, COMPUTER, PLAYSTATION GAMES

Whatever prohibitions and spiritual harms about TV that have been mentioned, take that multiply it 10 times for these games. Today’s games unfortunately have all the violence, zina (adultery), swearing, etc. that TV has.

Even though TV has all that filth and corruption, it is still a 3rd person media i.e. the viewer can only watch that filth, but cannot interact with the TV. However, with games, the person IS the doer i.e. he is the person that is in control of the Haraam.

Violence

People who have gone on killing sprees are usually the ones who watch all the violent movies which have glamourized the power to kill. School children who have killed their classmates have been brainwashed by these movies. Games are extremely bloody and violent and encourage the user to kill as many people as possible.

Let me give you an example : In one game, the player gets points for running people down with a car, and in another game, the objective is to hijack and kill people.

Zina

In today’s games, there has to be scantily dressed women characters and there is always some form of zina elements.

Swearing

Previously, if a child had to back answer his father or mother, one would say that that child had learnt bad language from his friends, and then we blamed the TV for its influence; now I am saying that games are also contributing to the child’s bad language. It is not uncommon for a game to have explicit swearing.

Satanic Elements

Now and again we may hear of some TV programme that has hidden messages of Satan and that they secretly promote Satanism and other evils. Well, in games, there are no hidden of subliminal messages. It’s straight and openly displayed. Satanic verses and numbers, the Dajjaal’s one eyed pyramid, the satanic pentagram for witches, crucifixions, etc. It’s all displayed openly for the person playing the game to see and experience.

These Muslims (children and adults) who play these types of games are transformed into witches and wizards, casting spells against the ‘evil’ characters.

Shirk

In many games, there are new gods with new powers and new creations. The Muslim playing the game is indirectly accepting those gods as he plays the games.

Music

All games have music. A game is not a game without some musical soundtrack. That is like a hidden rule. Previously, the music was instrumental, with no humans singing. However, in today’s games, actual musical bands are used for the game’s soundtrack. In particular, rock and heavy metal bands are used. It is mainly these types of music that speak of the anti-christ, Satan, etc. So playing a game today, means that you are also listening to music, which is Haraam.

Time wasting

Games are VERY, VERY addictive. They take the player into ‘another world’. He becomes neglectful to the amount of time spent playing the game and normally misses his Salaah because he is so absorbed in the game. Adults, who are addictive in these games, normally ignore their families and this can lead to divorces and conflicts between family members."
