One of our siraeki poet says;

Ilman bass karo o yar, Teno ek alif darkar

Leave this bookish knowledge oh my friend. You just need one ALIF

The meaning is Alif is for ALLAH. This is not to demote bookish knowledge in anyway but this is an advise to those who solely go after bookish knowledge and forget about the real goal which is ALLAH himself.
