AbdulNasir Jangda was born in 1979 in Ft. Worth, TX. He was raised in Arlington, TX. At the age of 10 he went to Karachi, Pakistan to memorize the Holy Quran. He excelled in his memorization and committed the entire Quran to memory within 1 year. He then returned home and continued his school education. After graduating from High School, he went back to Karachi to study the Alim Course at Jamia Binoria. He graduated from the rigorous 7 year program in 2002 at the top of his class and with numerous Ijaazaat (Licenses) in various Islamic Sciences. Along with the Alim Course he concurrently completed a B.A. and M.A. in Arabic from Karachi University. He taught Arabic at the University of Texas at Arlington from 2005 to 2007. He has served as an instructor and curriculum advisor to various Islamic schools and Islamic studies programs. He currently serves as the full time Imam at the Islamic Association of Mid-Cities (Colleyville Masjid) where he teaches regular classes and seminars/workshops. He is the executive chair and founding member of Qalam Institute, a Quranic studies project in DFW. He is also the founder and chairman of Mansfield Islamic Center. His specialties include Hanafi fiqh, Tafseer, and Arabic language. AbdulNasir joined Bayyinah Institute in 2009 and teaches the 10 day Fundamentals of Classical Arabic course, Arabic grammar follow ups, and his own course which he designed – Meaningful Prayer. Nadim Bashir was born in Florida and moved here to the DFW Metroplex area at a very young age. In 1989 he travelled to Pakistan where he memorized the entire Quran at Jamia Binoria by the age of 11.

He has earned a reputation for himself in being a good reciter of the Quran from memory. He began the Alim Course at Jamia Madinatul-Uloom, New Orleans as a student of Shaykh Abdur Rahman Patel. He then went overseas to study at Jamia Taalimul-Islam, Dewsbury, U.K. for several years where he received Ijaazaat in various Islamic Sceinces, including Arabic, Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Hadith, Tafseer, Tajweed, and Qira’ah. He graduated in 2003 with a Masters in Islamic Studies and has been serving Deen in the U.S. till today.

From 2006-2009, he served as the lead Quranic instructor at a Quranic Academy in Arlington. In 2008 he served as the head of the Arabic and Islamic Studies department in IANT Quranic Academy which is located in Richardson.

Currently, he is serving as an instructor at IQA, Qalam Institute, and as the Imam of the Islamic Association of Mid Cities (Colleyville Masjid). He seems very eloquent and enthusiastic. Anyone knows him personally?

Wa Alaykum Assalaam,

Alhamdulillah, Shaykh has been over to my house a couple of times. Shaykh is a very jolly man and excellent at delivering talks. He really makes it very easy to understand, MashaAllah.
