At one of my local masjids' yesterday, they were giving free Quran to only non-Muslims, I went asked and checked the copies if they contained Arabic, they didn't, just contained translations. So is this ok?

there was an event 10+ years ago where free Quran was being handed out to attendee with some other items. Later on, some of these Quran (translations) were found in various bins.
In the zeal to do dawah, one seems to caution to the air. Hence only give it to those who seek and ask for it and not anyone!! If anyone is to be guided, they will receive guidance sooner or later. The example of Umar RAD should be seen as an example. He was willing to go through little bit of difficulty to have access to excerpt of Quran. Unfortunately some have relegated riligion to a club and as such have no problem treating the symbol of deen as such. Teletuby muslim syndrome. Allahualam |

May Allah SWT grant us the power to stop such things, ameen. Quote:

Giving Quran to Non-Muslims

What should one do if one has only Quran translations with Arabic AND the spefic local language available? I read that I must teach the non-Muslim about how to do wudu and ghusl - is this absolutely obligatory? Because I don't think that such a person will fully understand the rules of wudu and ghusl, furthermore it could scare people away from reading Quran if we impose such strict (in the non-Muslim view) rules from the beginning. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/wasalam.gif |

Wait wait wait, have you not even heard of stories Non-Muslims becoming Muslims even after reading few passages from the Qur'an (from the translation i mean)? I heard so many youtube videos of non-Muslims asking guidance from Allah before reading the translation and Allah has shown them Hidayah.
I know we people are Abkarul-Abkaar and have lost but don't think that Allah cannot guide those who are reading His words, remember it is a source of guidance! Wallahu A'lam http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/wasalam.gif |
