Hi, this is Mubin Shaikh from the article. There is SO MUCH misinformation - I feel sorry for those who want to know the truth of whats happenin. The fact is, what the government has done is choose not to give official sanction our decisions. It does NOT prohibit the practice. What this means is that decisions will not be able to be enforced by the state - bad news for those women who could have resorted to state enforcement to get their money. But Canada did allow an alternative system to a court, a religious arbitration court. So basically, your saying Canada is not a true democracy ? I hope the UK wakes up as well. |
