Default Weighing at night?
Do you weigh yourself at night in addition to weighing in the morning? I have been, and I'm starting to think it's a bit counterproductive.

For instance, I weight one pound more than I did this morning so now I'm worried about what the scale will say tomorrow.

no, there's no point
it's best to do it once a day, same time, after voiding your bladder in the am

Right. Dr. S's protocol specifically says to do it first thing in the morning, after voiding and before eating or drinking. Your fluid balance fluctuates a lot during the day, so weighing at different times will only make you crazy!

you weigh more at night cos you have food and drink in your tummy! i do weigh at night though, but i know that I lose about 2lbs overnight so I roughly know what to expect on the scale in the morning

I only count the first morning post-pee weight.

But I am a scale junkie. On and off all day, before and after I pee! I am always surprised that I lose about a pound a pee! Lord knows I am taking in at least a pound of water between times though!! LOL!

i weigh everyday and every-night- i even made a spread sheet with the average and the difference between the 2 and an estimate of what tomorrows weight will actually be- so far everyday day it rotates-1 day ill weight more than i figured the next day ill weight less than i thought. I made it into a game- i know my average weight loss overnight is 1.8 lbs. I find it exciting, maybe a little nuts though

I do the same thing....So funny, but I like to have an idea if I am gonna be happy in the morning. Now the spread sheet.....hehehe. Glad to know I'm not the only one that's slightly nutty!

I did that. Once. I was up almost 1.5 kilos (3-4 pounds). NEVER. AGAIN.

I also tried an 'experiment' one morning and weighed myself after having my morning pot of tea. I was up .5 kilos (1 pound). WHAT? That's insane!!!

Now, I stick to the scale in the morning, after I go to the toilet and then not again til the following AM.

I have missed my tea most of all. I drink it with milk and sugar, and skim milk sucks and stevia in tea sucks! I will be so glad when I can actually have a big old mug of tea with a tsp of sugar and a big splash of milk!

A proper tea would be good. I usually drink herbal stuff without milk, so I am ok, but I would looooove a nice, semi-sweet cup of milky, sugary tea.

I weigh in the morning. In previous diets I weighed in the morning, evening, and etc and it drove me bat crazy!! I read an interesting article called why the scale lies a year ago that was really insightful. This diet is already stressful enough without the added worry about why did I gain 3lbs but only at 300 calories so far that day. I just try to focus on the larger goal at hand. Day 40 I really want to lose 1lb a day even though I know it's not the average. If I lost 1lb a day, I'd be at goal weight. I really don't want to do another round of this.
