Just wanted to update everyone. Laura called today and wanted me to post that she and her family are fine. They did loose some trees and Hurricane Irene did cause power to go out for them. They have been without electricity since 4 am and it may take another two weeks before it will be restore again. She will be MIA for awhile, but wanted to thank everyone for keeping her in your thoughts.

Glad to hear she and her family are all well Thank God.

I remember a bad storm here years ago, it left us with no electricity, its amazing how dependent we are on it and you forget yourself and say, "Ill just put the kettle on, oh no, I forgot".

Hope the get the power back soon.

Thanks MG for informing us about Laura. Glad to know that she and her family are fine. I was wondering why Laura was so quiet. I just realised that she lives in the area where the Hurricane passed through.

Yeah! I agree with you in today's time without electricity life becomes next to hell. Anyway it is nice hearing things are under control a bit. I hope the power will be back soon when the situation will start coming under some control for the authorities. My best wishes for Laura!

Spoke with Laura this morning and passed on all your well wishes. They are fixing the powerlines on her street so if all goes well, hopefully, they will have electricity tonight. It may still be awhile until she is back on here as the phone and internet lines are also down snd no sights of those guys yet. Again, she thanks you for keeping and her family in your thoughts.

Please keep Laura and her mom in your thoughts and prayers. Laura's mom was taken to the hospital this morning after she fell. Thank goodness, it was not a stroke or heart attack. They are keeping her at the hospital overnight to monitor her vitals. She is conscious and appears to behaving normally. Things happen in 3s (the earthquake, the hurricane, and the fall) so hopefully, things will be less stressful soon for Laura. On a positive, they did electricity back last night. They should get internet back tomorrow afternoon. Again, thank you for your support, thoughts and prayers.
