Years ago I was able to project almost at will with no preparations.
I did not need any relaxation, trance or loosening techniques. I just needed to lie down and quickly relax, I would then sit up (in the astral body) and stand by the side of my bed ready to explore. These days it is far harder work, and the best way to project is to experience the vibrations. The problem is that the vibrations do not always come, even though I feel completely relaxed and in a moderate trance. Does anyone have any 'tricks' or personal methods to induce the vibrations once they are relaxed etc? Thanks Joggerman |

I've never had to do anything special to induce the vibrations. It seems like every night or at least 5 nights out of the week it just happens to me no matter what, whether I plan it or not. When I plan it, I just go to sleep with my mind set on doing it, and I automatically wake up about 10 minutes later with the vibrations. If I wake up and the vibrations are not there yet, I just make it happen. I'm not sure if I do it with my mind or what, but I have a way of making it come about if I am totally relaxed and not quite there yet.
Right now, while fully awake, I can kind of make my body feel like it would if I was in the vibration stage. I just kind of take all the energy in my body and push it into the middle and swirl it around. Sounds crazy, I know. It's hard to explain how I do it and how it feels. It feels like a shock wave going through my body. I've always been able to do this, even before I knew what AP was. Can anybody else do something like that? I can make myself feel very strange like that anytime I want. I have no idea what it is, but I think it helps with my AP. There's got to be some advantage to it though...I can only keep it up for like 5 seconds, it gets intense. It makes my heart beat a little faster and it feels like what I already described, plus it reminds me of being startled. Adrenaline I guess. Sometimes after I came back to my body and I think I'm finished, I get those shock waves for a while. Or if I'm in the vibrational stage and I have to physically reposition myself to get more comfortable, the shock waves happen before it comes back full blast. I used to get that feeling hours after I woke up. "ZWUE" It's a weird feeling but I always liked it. Note* For as many times as I have done this, I've never projected or reached the vibrations by being awake the whole time. It's way too hard for me to concentrate on it that long. I always have to sleep a little bit first and wake back up again (with my body then relaxed and paralyzed). Maybe it won't be so easy to do it like that in the future, like what has happened to you. |

Here's a breathing method for inducing vibrations without falling asleep. I haven't been able to use it to project, all it does is bring on strong vibrations in my neck, hands, arms, feet, and stomach. If you find a way to convert this breathing method into an actual OBE I'd really like to hear it:
