I am curious too see how long people sleep and whether people take naps or not and at what intervals. If you do take naps please post when and at what times. I am trying to determine what the best sleeping schedule is for me personally and Im interested too see what other people find works best for them.
I found the sleeping schedule proposed by Seth, to be quite interesting and it seems to run counter to majority of thought on ideal sleep. I am currently attempting to try it out. http://www.spiritofmaat.com/archive/may3/seth.htm I also find that if I nap during the day, the chances of me going into sleep paralysis, precursor for OBE(for me) are more frequent. |

The best advice I can give is to get a full nights sleep. The biggest detrimental factor on my ability to OBE is lack of sleep. I generally only have 4-6 hours a night, so I spend a lot of the day being tired. I'm not sure why I have so little sleep, I just find other things to do.
Having a good night sleep and afternoon nap, nearly always produces a paralysis state for me and so an excellent oppertunity to project. |

I used to sleep 8-10 hours a day and used to have many spontaneous projections- Now, due to back problems I sleep 4 hours in my bed and 2+- in a recliner. This has resulted in half naps where I get astral sight/sounds quite often, and not even a hope of projecting. I'm sleepy all day and up half the night. (Yes, I'm going to look into it).
