On Thursday night @ about 8 pm. My boy and I (he is 15 months) went out to play a little Frisbee. Well we were having a great time playing and on the last throw, he jumped and missed the Frisbee, and turned around in mid air to try to snatch it (if you can picture that description) He ended up landing on his butt/ lower back. He instantly started howling. I ran up to him and examined his back and ran my hand down his spine, to make sure there was no pain there (there wasn't) The pain was in his back right leg. So I picked him up (mind you we are a mile and a half from my house, didn't have my cell phone to call my wife. I get home and put him in the back seat of my car, and take him to the 24hr emergency room, where we spent 7 hrs and 743$ to find out his hip was out of socket and has a hair line fracture on the very tip of his leg bone. They popped it back into socket, but, they could not sling it due to the hairline fracture. So they sent us home with pain pills and my injured dog. So I guess my question is now how do I prevent it from popping gout again while healing? I let him walk very little with no stairs, and give him lots of tlc lol hes probably loving being spoiled. So if you can imagine im kinda down on myself because I hate seeing him like this, hes my best bud!! Thanks for listening.
