Default collar
I purchased a 1 inch purple reflective collar at a locally owned pet store
I do plan on getting a thicker one when her gets bigger

I have been told not to put a purple color on a boy.

Does it really matter?

Rosie wears a blue collar sometimes. As long as the color looks good with his coloring, it shouldn't matter.

Casper wears purple. I did have one idiot yell at me about it. We were at a dog event and she said something and called Casper a she and I corrected and said he was a male. Then she said I shouldn't put purple on him if I didn't want him being called a girl. Well its my dog, I'll put whatever color I want him and IMO there is nothing feminine about Casper anyways!

When I had my 2 male Dobermans out walking one day, Lucas was wearing a hot pink collar and Zeus a purple one. I kept getting asked when I was going to breed them b/c they were such a fine pair. Both neutered males. In that case, they assumed Lucas was a girl and Zeus was a boy even though he was wearing purple!

I used to get that ALL the time with Willow when I had her in a neon pink collar (you can't miss the collar either since she's a black dog lol)
It's funny since now she has a bright yellow collar and everyone can suddenly tell she is a girl!

When I asked my husband if he'd care if I put our boy in a purple collar he said "nope. It's a cool color. The color of the joker and he's my favorite character" so there you go. Lol

Oh yeah, purple is a colour you never want to put on a male dog...scientific evidence suggests that purple inhibits testosterone levels and your dog will be the laughing stock of the whole canine community.

I mean, look at Barney the dinosaur...poor thing is one wimpy ass T-Rex if I ever saw one.
