Default Cropping ears, reliable places?
ok i still have about 2 weeks to decide if i want to crop Luna's ears. I'm so on the fence about this. I love natural ears (and goofy ones), but there is something about a good crop I envy. I am really thinking I'm wanting to crop her ears, but then I worry what if she gets a bad crop, or they get infected, or i just end up not liking the way they look on her, ahhh i just don't know!! does anyone llive near southern Indiana and have a recommendation of a good person to look into to crop her ears? i live about 20-25 minutes from Evansville Indiana. Still havent come to a for sure decision yet, because she does have some pretty darn cute ears IMO

I have no clue about vets that crop in Indiana, however, I'd leave her ears natural if I were you. I personally don't see the point in cropping pet dogs.

Notice how I didn't direct my post at anyone in particular.. just didn't want this turning into another thread where people that are actually looking for info. have to sift through pages of OT stuff to find it.

I am of no help, since I don't live anywhere close to Indiana. But, good luck. Hope you get what you want.

Kamdon- that is the crop job I was looking for I think that your vet did a great job and was a very good price. I am so glad you chimed in because I could not for the life of me find your post >.<

I am on the fence here too with my dog. I have another week before his last round of shots, and then I will need to decide. He is 13 weeks, and the vet I have decided to do the crop if I make up my mind that way requires the pup to be at least 12 weeks.

The vet here in Texas uses a laser for the cropping. My father used this vet with his Boxer and had good results.

That's a nice crop, from what I can see!

Just remember, there is nothing worse than a bad crop job.. it can completely ruin a dogs look. I've become a crop "snob" now that I've been around quite a few Amstaffs LOL.

This thread isn't a debate on cropping. It isn't asking anybody's permission to crop. It isn't asking anything except WHERE TO GO in the area where the owner of the dog lives. A moderator already asked to keep it on topic, and obviously people are too blind to read, or they figure they don't have to listen.

Now I'll say this one time and one time only, keep it on topic, which is WHERE TO GO for a crop in the OP's area. If you can't do that, don't post in this thread. Ignore this and you may find yourself on vacation from pit bull chat for a few days.

There's only about 30 other ear cropping threads you are more than welcome to go continue your babble about ear cropping debates in. Use the search feature.

Now carry on.

Aww, Boogie I saw you posted here and I thought you were telling where you get your dogs' ears done! That's a tidbit I'd be interested in hearing because Bronson's crop is perfect.

Well anybody that wants to drive to Missouri, I'd be glad to point them in the right direction. He charges $175, and that includes everything. Unless it's went up. I haven't done any cropping for 5 years now. My vet is very fair on all his prices, and I trust him 100%. He's been in business almost 30 years.

if you're willing to drive a distance my vet is about 6 hours from you, he can crop at any age and make them stand and it costed me $200 exactly for JJ's crop. he's great at figuring out what will look best on the adult dog
people drive from as far away as wisconsin and indiana for him

i really like her crop. I think I am going to keep Lunas ears natural, but would still like to know about the person who cropped your dogs ears also. I feel like getting a head start on researching breeders, vets to crop, etc for when i eventually get a papered dog. I am enjoying Luna's crazy ears too much every 5 minutes they are doing something different and it cracks me up! I gotta see how they turn out! But I would still like to find someone local, not just for myself, to help point people in the right direction! But I am open to finding out about anywhere (within resonable driving distance) for myself!

oh, and she is adorable!!!
