Some dogs just seem to do amazing at toilet training. My Lab x Staffy, Sunny, was toilet trained since 8 weeks old. It's awesome some dogs are like this. Sadly Serenity had to be toilet trained >

Yeap, some dogs are just good at holding it. My brother's AmStaff could hold it like a champ from 8 weeks, except if you put him on a bed. I don't know what it was but he would ALWAYS pee on the bed.

You might run into some issues later on though when he gets to his "bratty adolescent puppy" phase around 6-8 months where he is trying to test the boundaries. But you've still got a ways before that. Enjoy it.

I wouldn't necessarily call it normal But I definitely wouldn't be worrying about it.

I got Frankie at 10 weeks old and she's slept thru the night since day one. It doesn't matter if she's on the bed with me, or in her crate. It also dosen't matter if we go to bed at 9pm, or 1am, she sleeps about 7 1/2 hours. I'm good with that.

I can only remember Lucy having one accident, not counting the time she ate a grape and had violent diarrhea in her crate. Sometimes we luck out.

My pup is almost 12 weeks, and he does wake us up during the middle of the middle of the night, and goes to potty on his training pad.

I wouldn't necessarily call it normal.. but I sure as heck wouldn't complain!!!

Just don't freak out on him if he has an accident one day when you least expect it. It may not be normal, but it is sure a BLESSING!!! Gizzmo is 13 years old, and I have NEVER been able to completely housebreak him! It's been very frustrating. I understand now that he is an old guy that it's normal, but he's been doing this his whole life, so it IS frustrating. I would be telling everyone who would listen, and some who didn't, that he was doing so great! Congrats, you're one of the few lucky ones when it comes to housebreaking.
