My 10 week old pup rozzayy holds his bladder through the night with out waking me up to go potty I myself make it my business to set the alarm twice to take him out anyway once at 12 and again at 5:30 he has been this way since we got him at 8 weeks old!! My question is this normal for a 10 week old pup also he is doing amazing at potty training this is like a dream

Yeap, some dogs are just good at holding it. My brother's AmStaff could hold it like a champ from 8 weeks, except if you put him on a bed. I don't know what it was but he would ALWAYS pee on the bed.
You might run into some issues later on though when he gets to his "bratty adolescent puppy" phase around 6-8 months where he is trying to test the boundaries. But you've still got a ways before that. Enjoy it. ![]() |

I wouldn't necessarily call it normal.. but I sure as heck wouldn't complain!!!
![]() Just don't freak out on him if he has an accident one day when you least expect it. It may not be normal, but it is sure a BLESSING!!! Gizzmo is 13 years old, and I have NEVER been able to completely housebreak him! It's been very frustrating. I understand now that he is an old guy that it's normal, but he's been doing this his whole life, so it IS frustrating. I would be telling everyone who would listen, and some who didn't, that he was doing so great! Congrats, you're one of the few lucky ones when it comes to housebreaking. ![]() |
