So the pic posted may be a fake. Big deal. The point is that the crosses can come out looking like either breed in the mix or a strange combination of both breeds or neither. Especially when talking about mixing breeds that are very dissimilar in size and structure. "Designer breed" dogs are just mutts and look like mutts.
When I was a kid our family dog, a Boston Terrier, got pregnant by a 3 legged Shepherd that roamed the neighborhood who hopped our fence. Of the 5 pups NONE of them grew up to even look like littermates. |
