Default whats the difference between red/blue nose??
when i bought my pit the guy said he was a blue nose pit (since this was my first dog and pit i didnt really know what that meant. so it didnt really matter to me.) but i was just wonder what is the difference in the color ? is the body built different or what? he said he was a full blooded 1 and he had the papers to prove it. i think he really thought i cared what color his nose was that was his selling point. so if any 1 could let me know whats the difference and y it such a big deal i would appreciate it. i always thought blue pits were the shadow grey looking pits, but that just shows u home much i new about pits.

Same breed, just a different color nose.

Blue nose dogs are the blue colored dogs, and many tend to have Amstaff blood, though, I have seen some full bred American Pit Bull Terriers that were blue. Now-a-days, there are many America Bullies that are blue as well, but the Amstaff (though a red nose is a fault in the AKC), APBT, and Ambully all come in different colors/nose colors.
Red nose dogs just have red noses.

Many people try to make it sound like it's something special or rare, but it's just what it sounds like a color of a nose.

The color of the nose is the only difference.

blue nose

red nose

black nose

The size or body build of the dog will depend on the parents and other dogs in the pup's background.

You are a bit confusing...a PIC would help. Is he a blue brindle? If he does not have the "blue" (grey) nose, then he is not a "bluenose". He might have had a parent that was "blue" but that does not make him a "blue".

You are focusing on color instead of pedigree. The seller said he had papers...before even seeing the pic, I would bet that you have a pup from a BYB (Back Yard Breeder) and it might be Ambully. Those breeders tend to use "Color" as a selling point instead of a "bloodline". That WILL affect the body structure.

By looking at his nose you can determine the color.

Blue nose dogs are nothing special or rare. A good breeder would have been able to tell you more about the dog and not just the nose color (which is obvious).

He is a blue brindle with white markings, I believe, and he does appear to have a blue nose.
How old is he, and how much does he weigh? Just curious.

Now from what I understand if he is a "blue nose" he should have no "black" coloring as the dark coloring should be blue or grey

This is what I was told not sure..

My tank is suposidly a blue nose. but yes it really dont matter

Very pretty boy! Definitely agree on the blue brindle/white. Lovely kiddo, though.

For Spooledup Hello I'm a new member but I cant help but ask..is your dogs name Tank? If so our pits look exactly the same with the spot over the right eye and they have the same name lol what are the odds of that? My puppy is only 4 months old and by the looks of your photo I can tell what he will look like when he gets older

My tank is suposidly a blue nose. but yes it really dont matter Blue is a dilute of black, so I would assume that technically he would still he considered a blue nose if his nose was blue even if he did have some black on him
