Default My dog
My female pit is 4 months old, Every time i take her petsmart, other dogs bark at her, but she won't bark at them? Should i take this as a good thing? Even with the neighborhood dogs and walking her at night, other dogs bark and don't do anything... i always had dogs that would bark at other dogs, if they barked..

Rigby didn't bark until she was about 8 months old...I wouldn't worry about it. Now I wish she would shut up.

My dog rarely barks and he is almost two years old. You dog may just not be a barker.

Veronica never barked when she was a puppy.

She was a late bloomer.

She started becoming dog reactive around 8 months or so; but it reached it's peak around 2 years old.

She is a reactive dog in general; and I dearly wish she would shut her mouth sometimes.

Be happy she doesn't bark I don't allow that behavior out of any of my dogs, not that they've ever been reactive. Sako's is my "talker" and he gets a firm warning any time he opens his mouth.. I cannot STAND barking/whining/etc. Drives me insane.

Exactly!
DH kept telling me Rosie wasn't a barker. She was about 2 when I met her..she's not a huge barker, but she barks more than I'd like.
A neighbors car door slams, she barks.
The garbage truck stops, she barks.
Someone walks by the house, she barks.
She THINKS she hears something, she barks.

Opie never barked until we babysat my dad's dog, Mila. She always barks at the door and he quickly learned to do the same. Now that she's gone, however, he's back to his quiet ways. He only barks when we're playing with him and get him riled up.

I like it that way. =)
