My dogs rarely wear their collars when they're inside.
Had an incident happen when I was younger that makes me paranoid about leaving them on.. our Labs were playing, and one of their canine's got caught in the others collar.. turned into a freaking MESS, with both dogs almost suffocating. Luckily, my dad was able to cut their collars off, but got bit pretty badly in the process by the dog who was literally turning blue (can't blame him for biting!). I'll never forget it, very scary. |

we take Bandit's off when we are inside.. but lucy wears one all the time. Ja'az so far has wore one all the time.. but they are not loose in the house together very often at all, so its no biggie. I only take bandits off because his neck is white and collars rub him raw and leave his neck looking nasty.

My dogs almost never wear collars. I have a collar puller here.
1 time she got her jaw stuck in another collar. I also had a dog get his collar stuck on some chain link once and was stuck there for who knows how long poor guy. so no one wears collars now unless we are going out for a walk or we are traveling. |

We used to take Harleys off every night because the metal (he wore a choke chain because I hadnt found a collar I liked for him) irritated his white down his neck and he would end up scratching it raw if it was left on to long. But with his new collar mania collar I havent had to take it off since I got it. Its not been bothering him at all. I do take his tags off though so that theres no chance they weill get caugh on his crate or anything else, I only put the tags on when we go out.

I only take off cupcakes collar when she is getting a bath. It's ironic that things tend to go wrong when I decide to do something that could go wrong...
i.e. leaving my spare tire at home to make room for goceries and ending up having a flat tired on the way home ( an example not an actual occurance ). As a result of having a run of bad luck I keep her collar on at all times. I know for a fact that if I took it off something would happen and she'd some how get out of the house! It never fails to amaze me how crap like this happens when I finally feel it's safe to do something and then bam...it all goes wrong. the collars stay on in my house! |

Lucy used to always be nekkid in the house since all her old collars wore the fur off her neck and irritated them. But since I got her an Ella's Lead collar and her Collarmania, I haven't had that problem. But she's still always nekkid when we go to bed.
Ethel has hers on most of the time. So does Damas. |
