Default Witnessed a fight today.
So I went with a couple friends to one of their friend's house. The girl who lives there, Mary, has 4 dogs: 2 pits, a corgi and a basset. And the pits got in a fight. I have never, ever seen this before. It was brutal. They don't have a break stick (hell, I'd never even heard of one before I came across the forum!), so we did our best with a shovel handle. Or tried to. Along with the water hose. After we got them seperated, they were both a MESS. There was bloodshed. They're both good dogs, to people. They just uh.. Yeah. It was a bad experience.

So what I'm trying to say here is: HOLY BALLS THAT WAS SCARY.

I witnessed my Staffie getting stuck in when I was a nipper, ex fighting dog who hated big dogs & new just how to bale them. Ugliest thing I have ever seen. Lesson's learned. I'm not taking any chances with my new pup.

that's why the breed ain't for the faint of heart...

you couldn't even realize how many people just freeze at the sight of a dogfight, let alone when an apbt is involved as it's quite brutal to witness..

Hell, most faint of heart common type folk balk at seeing bully breed dogs play! The noise and intensity look scary to them. I can imagine how the faint of heart would freeze and freak seeing an actual fight.

Socrates and Veronica got into an intense play session before agility practice one time and they told us if they were going to play they had to go to another field because they were scaring people .

That's what my dogs look like when they play I'm sure people look at them like they are going out for blood. It doesn't help that my Great Dane is a talker and makes all kinds of weird noises that sound blood curling.

Most people have never really seen dogs fight to where neither one gives up, or until someone breaks it up. There's usually one dog that submits. But even if they have more often then not the wounds are superficial. Until or unless there's a bully breed involved.

Who hasn't seen a video or even just a segment of a taped dog fight? But its not the same as when its happening feet or inches from you.

Once you see it you won't forget it. Whether its your own dogs or someone elses. Its not just the tenacity but also the strength behind it that has always changed the game as well as how people see them.

Ask anyone,.. If you had to break up a fight between 2 dogs, what breed would they be? Very few people would knowingly choose a bully breed.

WOAH WOAH WOAH! Is that LILY!? I didn't think she was capable of making any face other than the "I'm the sweetest dog in the world" face.
